• Responsible for Analyzing and Pricing Potential Customer bids
• Responsible for Carrier Capacity Procurement
• Monitor Profitability Level of all Transportation Activity
• Project and Recommend Price Adjustments for Customer Review and Proposal
• Search Current Customer Base for Additional Transportation Potential
• Managed Area is Directly Responsible for Transportation Customer Rate Maintenance and Updates
• Assists in Resolution and Collection of Short or Disputed Payments
• Solicits Quotes and Directs Carrier Capacity Procurement for Additional or Adjusted Volume
• Responsible for Carrier Rate and Contract Maintenance
• Supports Carrier A/P Resolution
• Responsible for Generating Month/Year End Transportation Activity Cost and Profitability Numbers and Relaying to Accounting
• Acts as a TMS Trainer and Software Super User Including Rate Change Requests, Software Development, and Updates
• Guides Field Users and Facilities on Potential Improvements and Procedural Changes in Regards to Transportation Execution
• Maintain Strong Relationship and Partnership with Business Development and Company Operations Group

Skills Required

• Experience in the Transportation Industry, TL, LTL, Intermodal, or Rail preferred.
• Transportation Analysis and Pricing Experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Contract Language and Rate Negotiation.
• Computer skills: Complete and Total Ability to Use the Full Extent of Excel, Word, Outlook, and TMS software.
• Works Well Under Pressure, Able to Multi-task and Organize.
• Must Possess Excellent Customer Service Skills (verbal and written).
• Strong work Ethic with Attention to Detail.

Description: IT Project Manager 

Millard Refrigerated Services is an aggressive growth oriented company in the cold storage/distribution industry.  We are seeking candidates to fill the role of IT Project Manager who would be responsible for developing a detailed project management process for the company and overseeing its implementation and use to manage project execution across IT projects throughout all phases of the project life cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Project Manager is responsible for defining, finding and installing the tools and processes required for successful team orientated project management and leveraging these processes, tools and guidelines to assure consistent project management processes are followed throughout the company.

The tools and processes must scale from small projects to large and rollup for executive level reporting all while not being overly burdened with steep learning curves, complex tools, excessive documentation or overly resource consuming red tape.

This role partners closely with IT teams and Business teams and other key stakeholders to initiate, plan, and manage schedule, budget, scope, project changes, resources, issues, risks, dependencies, and overall project communications including reporting.

The role is an integral part of the overall project leadership and is accountable for overall project delivery.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

• Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to train, teach, lead and motivate to gain adoption of project management across all levels of the corporation.
• Strong leadership skills (clear direction, respect, consistency, decisiveness, accountability, conviction, cooperation, good communication)
• Strong industry and business area knowledge in Warehousing, 3pl or similar industries.
• Ability to maintain a balance of business and technical perspectives
• Good listening skills and ability to innovate and brainstorm around business ideas and needs as well as the ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility
• PMI PMP preferred, or strong knowledge of PMBOK or CCMI
• Applications Development experience and Analyst level experience is required.
• A demonstrated track record of Project and Process Management.
• A demonstrated knowledge of multiple Application  Development life cycle methodologies.
